The sun did not shine.

It was too cold to play.

So we sat in the house

all that cold, cold, snowy day.

I sat there with Lucas.

We sat there, we two.

And I said, 'how I wish we had something to do!'

Too snowy to go out

and too cold to play ball.

So we sat in the house.

We did nothing at all.

So all we could do was to

Sit!

And we did not like it.

Not one little bit.

-Use masking tape to create a hopscotch board on your floor (ask them to peel it up after for a fine motor bonus)!

-Put on a puppet show with stuffed animals or socks

-Cut up a kitchen sponge and use it to build and paint

-Cut up an old box to draw and create a large city for trucks/cars/trains

-Tape streamers in your hallways at angle from one side to the other to create a laser effect and crawl through

-Use straws to blow cotton balls while racing through the house

-See how long you can keep a balloon in the air using fly swatters

-Set up a pool noodle between two chairs and play volleyball with a balloon
